Joint EX-FI - eMobility meeting
to help interested organisations develop proposals for FI-PPP Call 1
17 September 2010, Future Centre, Venice,
Italy
With the publication of the work program for the Future Internet Public-Private Partnership a few days ago, preparations for consortia and proposals are coming up to speed. Call 1 of the Future Internet Public Private Partnership (FI-PPP) has been opened on 20 July and will close on 2 December. The FI-PPP aims to advance Europe's competitiveness in Future Internet technologies and systems and to support the emergence of Future Internet-enhanced applications of public and social relevance.
Given the success of the proposals resulting from the eMobility member coordination and networking meetings for Calls 4 and 5, we are now organising a joint EX-FI - eMobility meeting to help interested organisations develop proposals for Call 1 of the FI-PPP, specifically for Objective 1.8 - the Use Case Scenario projects (up to 8 IPs, 5 MEuro each, max. 2 years).
The networking meeting will be held in Venice, Italy, on the 17th September, from 9.00 to 13.00 in the "Future Centre" of Telecom Italia. The address of the location is Future Center, San Marco, 4826 Campo San Salvador, 30124 – Venice, Italy. The networking meeting takes place on the day after the eMobility General Assembly, which will be held on 16th September, in the same location (see http://www.emobility.eu.org/GA6/GA6-intro.html for registration and program information).
We would like to ask all eMobility members and everybody active in eMobility scope to express in what topics and areas you would be interested regarding FI-PPP Objective 1.8 project proposals.

As for previous networking meetings, we need to know who is interested to "lead" or to "join" proposals and which application area they are interested in. Vincent Boutroux, Orange, is the organiser of this particular meeting.
Vincent will organise the agenda and presentation sequence and let you know if your presentation is accepted for the meeting. Space in the meeting room is restricted to 40 people and the places will be allocated to the first 40 applications received by Vincent, on the basis of one participant per organisation represented at the meeting.
The results of this survey of interest will be made available to eMobility members.
Please send your proposed topic and the information on whether you are interested in "leading" or "joining" to Vincent Boutroux, Orange, at vincent.boutroux@orange-ftgroup.com Participation in the meeting will be restricted to those that send a contribution of ideas for projects they could lead or contribute to by the deadline of Monday evening 30th AUGUST.
